We are thrilled to announce the success of our Better Digital Futures classes for seniors in the last six months.

The overwhelming response and subsequent oversubscription to these classes reflect the community’s enthusiasm and commitment to enhancing digital literacy among our senior residents.

The Better Digital Futures programme was designed to empower seniors with essential digital skills, enabling them to navigate the modern digital landscape with confidence.

From mastering basic computer skills to exploring the world of social media and online safety, these classes have provided invaluable knowledge and support to our senior community members.

In the last six months we had a 150 percent increase in interest to attend the classes, far exceeding our initial expectations.

The high demand for these classes highlights the growing recognition of the importance of digital literacy in today’s world and underscores the dedication of our seniors to embrace new technologies and stay connected with the digital world.

The success of the Better Digital Futures classes would not have been possible without the collective efforts of our dedicated library staff, passionate community partner, Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa, and our enthusiastic participants.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this programme a success.

Due to the oversubscription of the Better Digital Futures classes this year, we invite our seniors who missed out to join our mailing list.
