Our annual Summer Reading Challenge has been rebranded to Summer Reading, and is now open to all ages!
Entering is simple, just grab a postcard (adults, children and under 5’s cards/activities are available) from a special post box in one of our branches, and a select few placed around town, complete and mark 8 out of 9 reading activities on the back, and post it back into the box to be in to win great prizes. You can fill out as many postcards as you like, so grab a few cards and get reading!
Summer Reading runs from from 11 December to 23 January.

Championed by institutes and libraries all over the world in order to combat the ‘summer slide’ (studies have shown that students can lose months of reading progress in a single book-less summer break), our Summer Reading Challenge has been extremely popular among children and teens year after year, rewarding them for reading in creative and fun ways – and now everyone can get in on the fun.
